DABD Kid’s Patch Club

Kids Patch is our Ofsted registered weekend club for children and young people aged 5 + with disabilities or additional needs.

 The club offers a friendly, fun, social and inclusive environment for three age groups (5 – 8, 9 – 13 and 14 – 18) with specialist equipment and facilities and trained staff.

Children and young people can enjoy crafts and themed activities promoting confidence, positive relationships and of course, fun!
Activities include:
• Arts and crafts
• Sensory room
• Video games
• Day trips and outings

Our Saturday Club runs 9am – 3pm in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. We also run clubs on some Sundays and during school holidays (please ask for further details).

We will also be running monthly day trips and outings. Please contact us for further details.

Family Information Service (LBBD)

Barking and Dagenham Family Information Service (FIS) provides comprehensive information and advice on the services available to parents, including information on local childcare and early years nurseries and pre-schools.

FIS works closely with children’s centres, Jobcentre Plus, youth services, family services, libraries and many more to support children, young people, families and people who work with families.

Parent Support Adviser (Beam County Primary School)

There are Parent Support Advisers (PSA’s) based at a number of schools in Barking & Dagenham who are available to support parents who live in Barking & Dagenham.

Support includes; practical help on parenting, concerns about your children, support with your child’s education and a listening ear for other issues that are concerning you as a parent.

The PSA at Beam County Primary School is primarily there to support parents whose children are at the school, but can include other parents in courses or other programmes being run.  The PSA is available during school hours and can be contacted on the number below.

You can also ask at your child’s school if there is a PSA available for you to talk to.
